Sixth Davis-Standard extruder added / UK pipe manufacturer continues ongoing investment relationship with machinery supplier
UK tubing & profile manufacturer Transam Extrusions (Barton-Le-Clay / UK; www.transamltd.co.uk) has added a new Davis-Standard "EB50 EuroBlue" extruder to its operation, together with a custom-built Davis-Standard water-bath, designed specifically for the company’s requirements.
The EB50 EuroBlue is the latest of six Davis-Standard extruders, with associated downstream capabilities, to be installed by the company. The machine was delivered within five days of being ordered, resulting in minimal production delays for Transam’s customers.
Transam said it had experienced significant growth over the past decade, producing a wide range of both flexible and rigid plastic pipes and profiles up to 180 mm wide.
The relationship between Transam and Davis-Standard has grown in recent years, and has included investment in the latter’s new extruders, screw technology and other downstream equipment to support Transam’s growth plans.
