According to the company, its Advanced Supertough mPE grade is suited to a wide range of film applications, providing what it calls excellent mechanical and optical properties as well as good sealing behaviour.
The material is a fit for applications in flexible packaging welding due to its sealing initiation temperature, which is 2°C below market standard, TotalEnergies noted. This enables customers to reduce the costs of production by lowering the quantity of plastomers in the welding layer.
TotalEnergies added that the VLLDPE grade can be used as a replacement material in formulations incorporating EVA, where it enhances recyclability in areas such as stretch hood applications.
