French petrochemical company TotalEnergies (Paris; www.totalenergies.com) has launched its new low-carbon polymer brand RE:clic, which is based on recycled material and bio-feedstocks.

The line features three product ranges, including RE:use, which contains recycled plastics from mechanical recycling derived from post-consumer and post-industrial plastics wastes, the resin maker said.

RE:build materials are produced from hard-to-recycle plastics converted into circular feedstock, according to the supplier. The recycled content of the resulting polymers is said to be tracked throughout the production process with the ISCC PLUS certification. The resins feature properties identical to virgin polymers, the supplier explained, making them suitable for demanding high-end applications such as food-contact.

The RE:newable range is produced from renewable feedstocks certified under ISCC PLUS, the company noted.
