Toray Industries Inc, Japan, has introduced a new laminate made from the Toray PPS film "Torelina" and Toray polyester film "Lumirror". The successful introduction in Japan has proven this laminate to be especially suitable for the insulation of servo-motors. The heat resistance as well as mechanical properties means that the insulation of motors with high revolutions can be processed mechanically. This feature is critical for a reduction in costs. Furthermore, smaller motors can be manufactured due to the 20 - 30% reduction in the thickness of the insulation laminate. – Toray Deutschland GmbH (Friedberger Anlage 22, D-60316 Frankfurt) is responsible for the sales and marketing in the German-speaking markets.
