USD 45m investment in foam plant / Extrusion capacity to be added at Virginia facility
Toray Plastics (TPA, North Kingstown, Rhode Island / USA; www.toraytpa.com) has announced plans to invest USD 45m (about EUR 40m) in an expansion of its plant in Front Royal, Virginia / USA. The US subsidiary of Japan’s Toray (Tokyo; www.toray.com) intends to add extrusion capacity at the site, which will also receive a new production line. The measure is expected to create 30 new jobs. When the added capacity will be available was not disclosed.

TPA operates two plants in the US. The facility in Front Royal specialises in the production of polyolefin foams for the automotive and flooring markets. Its second plant, located in North Kingstown, Richmond, manufactures oriented polyester and PP films for the magnetic tape, food packaging, capacitor and industrial markets.
