Subsidiary to acquire Greek PE film producer E.Vi.Sak
Thrace Plastics (Xanthi / Greece; www.thracegroup.com) has announced that its subsidiary Thrace Polyfilms is to takeover E.Vi.Sak Hellenic Industry of Sacks and Plastic Materials (Nea Karvali / Greece; www.evisak.gr). Thrace has signed a binding agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital and voting rights of E.Vi.Sak for EUR 2.49m.
E.Vi.Sak processes LDPE and LLDPE into one- or three-layer films for packaging fertilisers and raw materials for plastics. The company's production capacity is currently 26m plastic sacks and films per year. Turnover for fiscal 2016 was EUR 3.1m.
Within the group's industrial packaging business, Thrace Polyfilms is focusing on the production and trade of PE sacks and films for industrial, construction and agricultural uses, as well as garbage bags. It specialises in the production of wave, draw tape and open top garbage bags. The films company's activities lie mainly in Greece and also operates a sales network in Eastern Europe.
