The company claims that its new Monprene R6 CP-10100 series will enable them to reduce their product carbon footprint by up to 36% compared with a similar, fossil-based TPE.
The series is available in standard grades from 40 to 70 Shore A – but can be tailored to customer requirements – making it ideal for injection moulding, the company said. According to Teknor Apex, because the materials perform like TPEs, they are particularly well-suited for applications in sporting goods, lawn and garden, consumer electronics, appliances, and personal care.

In 2023, Teknor Apex launched its Monprene S3 CP-15170 BLK TPE, which is made with 35% sustainable content sourced from Israeli cleantech company UBQ Materials (Tel Aviv; www.ubqmaterials.com). UBQ Materials has said it produces the bio-based thermoplastic from unsorted household waste including organics.
