Teknor Apex (Pawtucket, Rhode Island / USA; www.teknorapex.com) has established Teknor Apex Europe to manage its custom compounding units in Europe as part of the geographical streamlining of its thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) division and an extensive program of international expansion and diversification – see Plasteurope.com of 08.11.2006. The first of these units, Teknor Apex UK has been formed in Oldbury to serve all countries in the region.

The UK unit will begin small-lot manufacturing of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) during the first half of 2008 with start-up of a new compounding line at the existing Teknor Apex facility in Oldbury, which presently produces engineering thermoplastics (ETPs). A programme is underway to expand representation through a network of agents that will ultimately cover all of Europe.
