Carbon fibres business restructured / Increased emphasis on composite materials
Teijin (Tokyo / Japan; www.teijin.co.jp) is to integrate its carbon fibres and composite materials business units as part of plans to accelerate the expansion of its advanced composite materials business.

The company said the newly created carbon fibres and composites business unit will comprise Toho Tenax and its subsidiary companies, which are now in the current carbon fibres business, plus the Teijin Composites Innovation Center and advanced composite materials company GH Craft. Operating under the direct management of CEO Shigeo Ohyagi, the new business will take effect on 1 April 2011.
