Teijin-DuPont joint venture to open Korean subsidiary / Focus on marketing and sale of polyester films
In a move aimed at raising its polyester films marketing and sales activities in South Korea, Teijin DuPont Films – a joint venture between Japan’s Teijin (Tokyo; www.teijin.co.jp/english) and DuPont (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.dupont.com) – plans to establish a subsidiary in Seoul / South Korea. Teijin DuPont Films Korea is scheduled to begin operations on 1 July, and will focus on increasing the jv’s activities in the country as well as strengthen connections with other Korean companies in the electronics field.
Teijin DuPont Films operates in six countries across Europe, Asia and the US. The joint venture’s portfolio includes a range of polyester films for flat-panel displays, photovoltaics, data storage, packaging and healthcare applications, among others.
