Joint venture with Valois / Plastics packaging for viscous cosmetics and cleansing agents
The European Commission has given its approval to a joint venture between Techpack International S.A. (TPI, 50, Avenue de la Republique, F-94669 Chevilly-Larue) and Valois S.A. (Rue du Doyen Jussiaume, BP 121, F-27110 Le Neubourg). The jv will be producing plastics packaging for viscous products in the cosmetics and cleansing agent field.
TPI belongs to Pechiney S.A. (F-75218 Paris Cedex 16) and represents its “Delux Cosmetics” business unit. Packaging is produced for lipsticks, mascara, make-up, perfume and many other cosmetic articles. This also includes lids, bottles, dispensers and the like. With sales of EUR 343m, TPI is one of the leading companies in this field worldwide. Valois belongs to the American AptarGroup Inc. (Crystal Lake, IL 60014, USA), which achieved sales of USD 834.3m in 1999 with a similar product range. In the same way as TPI, Valois is also bringing its Cosmetics Division into the joint venture.
