US additives and colour manufacturer Techmer PM (Clinton, Tennessee; www.techmerpm.com) plans to open a production facility in Mexico in the second half of 2017 to provide local service to its customers with operations in Mexico and Latin America. The plant will also enable the company to support the expansion of automotive companies with operations in Mexico as well as other strategic growth areas, it said.
Techmer PM president Ryan Howley said: “Techmer PM has built a strong presence in Mexico over the years as an exporter, and we are excited about the opportunity to further existing customer relationships as well as cultivate new business opportunities locally."
The project will be headed by Guillermo Quijano, who was recently hired as Techmer PM’s general manager for Latin American operations. He will be responsible for establishing the Mexico site and overseeing operations in Mexico and Latin America.
