Previously managing director at Petlon Polymers (Lydney / UK; www.petlon.co.uk), Mark Clayton has joined flexible packaging films provider TCL Packaging (Telford / UK; www.tcl-packaging.com) as managing director designate. He will take over from current TCL managing director Mike Golding in the summer of 2017, when Golding will step down and become chairman of the company.
Clayton was formerly UK director for US thermoplastics compounder Teknor Apex (Pawtucket, Rhode Island; www.teknorapex.com) that was acquired by Petlon in 2015, after which he then became head of the organisation.
In December 2016, TCL placed two new orders worth approximately EUR 0.29m for its Telford production plant. These new purchases add to a seven-figure investment in new equipment over the last three years.
