TARKETT
Acquisition of US flooring manufacturer Centiva
In a deal whose financial terms were not disclosed, flooring manufacturer Tarkett (Nanterre / France; www.tarkett.com) has acquired the “Centiva” business of International Floors of America (Florence, Alabama / USA). Founded in 1996, Centiva produces high-quality PVC flooring, specialising in luxury resilient tile.
Following the takeover, Tarkett will become one of America’s largest manufacturers of luxury vinyl tile (LVT), the company’s president Jeff Buttitta said. Centiva will continue to operate as a separate brand with its own manufacturing and business operations. Company founder and CEO Thomas Trissl will stay on as president and oversee Centiva’s more than 100 employees.
