Joint venture with UAE logistics firm / New terminal capable of handling hazardous goods
German chemical logistics firm Alfred Talke Logistics Service (Hürth; www.talke.com) has agreed to form a 50:50 joint venture with Dubai / UAE-based RSA Logistics (www.rsalogistics.net).
The new partnership, RSA-TALKE, will build and operate a state-of-the-art logistics facility in Dubai Logistics City capable of handling and storing hazardous materials. The facility will offer more than 19,000 pallet spaces and is expected to be in operation by the first quarter of 2014.
“The production as well as the import and export of speciality chemicals is gaining importance here in the Gulf region,” said Richard Heathe, director Middle East & Asia at RSA-TALKE. The new company will provide a broad spectrum of logistics services for non-hazardous as well as hazardous material and for traffic and transport links on the grounds of Dubai-World Central.
