SYNVENTIVE
Hot runner specialist expands in China / Capacity will be doubled over the next two years
As part of what it calls an “aggressive growth plan for Asia,” hot runner specialist Synventive (Peabody, Massachussetts / USA; www.synventive.com) is setting up a second Chinese production unit at Suzhou Industry Park near Suzhou, where it established its Asian headquarters in 2005. The company said the new investment will more than double its production capability in China over the next two years.
In March, Synventive’s hot runner nozzle tip and small manifold manufacturing work cells will be transferred to the new facility, where it will also relocate its hot runner system R&D. The site will accommodate a new, larger, test lab for injection moulding machinery, as well as office space. Synventive started up its first hot runner plant at Suzhou in 2005 – see Plasteurope.com of 25.11.2005.
