SYNTHECOLOR
Custom-made colourants and additive concentrates from France
One of France's leading producers of colourants and additives for thermoplastics, Synthecolor SA (B.P. 632, F-95004 Cergy-Pontoise), has marketed its concentrates under the trademark "Colorant Maitre" since 1970. The company was acquired by M.A. Hanna Co of the US in 1991.

With annual production capacities of 12,000 tonnes, Synthecolor claims to be France's market leader both for extruded films and sheets. Its portfolio also includes a complete masterbatch standard selection of PE and PP films, as well as PP and PS sheets. Among other things, the company specialises in colouring large-volume moulded parts (rubbish and transport containers, for example). A new generation of heavy metal- and diarylid-free concentrates now has been added to the product lineup. For the cosmetics sector, Synthecolor has developed special effect colors in cooperation with designers specialised in moulded and hollow parts. These include pearl and glimmer colours. Production is monitored by an in-house laboratory.
