SUPERFOS
Swedish subsidiary to merge with Mipac and Mulljö Industrial Plast / Deal still has to meet official approval
On 6 June 2011, the boards of Superfos Tenhult (Tenhult / Sweden) – a member of Danish packaging group Superfos (Taastrup; www.superfos.com) – Mipac AB (Mullsjö / Sweden; www.mipac.se) and Mulljö Industrial Plast AB (Mullsjö / Sweden) announced that they had set up a merger plan whereby the latter two companies will be absorbed by the Superfos subsidiary. The proposed arrangement still has to meet the approval of the relevant authorities.
Superfos had already acquired Mipac in 2007 – see Plasteurope.com of 24.05.2007. In February this year, the Danish packaging group was itself gobbled up by rigid plastics packaging supplier RPC Group (Higham Ferrers, Rushden / UK; www.rpc-group.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 23.02.2011.
