“Playmobil” manufacturer orders 30 “Systec” machines
Sumitomo Demag Plastics Machinery (Schwaig / Germany; www.sumitomo-shi-demag.eu) has confirmed an order from toy manufacturer geobra Brandstätter (Zirndorf / Germany; www.playmobil.com) for 30 hydraulic “Systec” 25-120 injection moulding machines. The order, initially placed at last year's K 2010 fair is destined for the “Playmobil” manufacturer’s Dietenhofen / Germany production facility, claimed to be the largest and most productive manufacturing and shipping facility for toys in the country. Geobra Brandstätter produces 60% of its “Playmobil” volumes from the site, which employs over 400 injection moulding machines producing around 7m parts daily.
