PC joint venture with Sumitomo renamed Sumika Styron Polycarbonate
After former Dow Chemical (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) spin-off Styron (Horgen / Switzerland; www.styron.com) acquired 50% of the erstwhile Dow polycarbonate joint venture with Sumitomo Chemical (Tokyo / Japan; www.sumitomo-chem.co.jp/english/index.html) – see Plasteurope.com of 28.10.2010 – the jv now has been renamed Sumika Styron Polycarbonate Limited. The new name and other relevant organisational changes will become effective 1 April.

The joint venture’s headquarters will remain in Tokyo and it will continue serving the polycarbonate market in Asia Pacific.
