Italian polymer producer SO.F.TER. (Forli; www.softerspa.com) has signed a lease agreement with engineering plastics manufacturer P Group (Ferrara / Italy; www.p-group.biz). SO.F.TER. says the deal with broaden its reinforced plastics portfolio, including by the addition of P Group’s “Tecnoprene” automotive range as well as its copolyester “Pibiflex” grades.

The agreement is part of SO.F.TER.’s strategy – dating back to its 2008 acquisition of Matrixx Europe (see Plasteurope.com of 17.10.2008) – to enter new market segments. At the beginning of this year, the company acquired the exclusive license to use the Radici Group’s (Bergamo / Italy; www.radicigroup.com) “Heraflex P” brand of elastomer modified polyolefins – see Plasteurope.com of 22.01.2010.
