South Korea-based chemicals producer Songwon (Ulsan; www.songwonind.com) has appointed speciality chemicals distributor Azelis (Antwerp / Belgium; www.azelis.com) to distribute its PVC and other polymer stabilisers as well as specialty chemicals in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. The exclusive distribution agreement with Casablanca-based Azelis Morocco will help Songwon expand its presence in the Maghreb region, Songwon said.

Azelis founded its first subsidiary in Africa in June 2015. In January 2017, the Belgian distributor opened a second one in Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast. The new office represents Azelis’ commitment to grow in Africa over the next few years.
