Songwon Industrial Group (Ulsan / South Korea; www.songwonind.com) on 15 April appointed Sun Ace of South Africa (Johannesburg / South Africa; www.sunace.co.za) the new exclusive distributor for its antioxidants, UVs, one-pack systems, rubber chemicals, tin intermediates, SAP and ink binders in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa.

Commenting on the deal, Sun Ace South Africa managing director Gary van Eyk said, “The demand for polymers and additives is being driven by a rapidly growing population in the region and the need to provide infrastructure, communications, housing, transportation, packaging and many more applications from local suppliers.
