Korean polymer additive manufacturer Songwon Industrial (Ulsan; www.songwonind.com) has appointed Caldic (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.caldic.com) to distribute its products in France and the Benelux region. The agreement took effect on 1 January 2011. Caldic is a chemicals distributor and producer active in Europe and Asia, and focused on the chemical, food products and technical materials markets. Caldic Belgium will serve customers in Belgium and Luxembourg, while Caldic Nederland and Caldic Spécialités will distribute within The Netherlands and France respectively.

The company operates in 30 locations and has offices, warehouses, distribution centres and production facilities in 13 countries. Dieter Morath, Songwon’s executive vice president for sales, said: “Choosing Caldic as our partner will allow us to increase the availability of both products and knowledge for our customers in France and the Benelux region. We will also be able to deliver with greater security, in line with our promise to add value by ensuring the best possible response times through proximity and readiness to serve.”
