SONGWON
Reduced emissions and improved properties from additives range
A range of high heat, low colour distortion, low emission additives for thermoplastics has been introduced by Songwon Industrial (Ulsan / Korea; www.songwonind.com). The company said the formulations will offer benefits to compounders, moulders and end-users through improving performance and durability in end-use applications and by increasing absolute service life and average operating temperatures. Current industry standards can be met with reduced additive loadings, Songwon said. Environmental, health and safety standards have also become more critical with a key focus on the reduction of emissions.
Existing systems based on phenolic antioxidants and thioesters often are unable to meet market demand for improved performance and durability in end-use applications. Not only do materials such as filled or unfilled PP increasingly require such increased properties and longer life cycles, the standards for environment, health and safety standards have also become more critical with a key focus on the reduction of emissions.
