Company board extended to seven members / Maurizio Butti elected CEO / New executive committee formed

In late March Songwon Industrial (Ulsan / South Korea; www.songwonind.com) elected a new board of directors, thus enlarging it from four to seven members. The three executive board members are Choong-Sik Kim, the group’s new CEO Maurizio Butti and CFO Hans-Peter Wüest. They are supported by four non-executive members – chairman Jongho Park as well as three advisors: Yung-Ku Ha, Dieter Morath and Gerhard Schlosser.
During the meeting, Jongho Park was confirmed as board chairman, while Butti was elected CEO. In his new capacity, Butti also oversees the activities of Songwon’s new executive committee, which oversees the company’s day-to-day operations. In addition to him, the other members of the executive committee are CFO Wüest, Performance Chemicals head Philippe Schläpfer, Operations chief Giacomo Sasselli and head of Quality Assurance, Regulatory & Best Practices Doug Excell.
