Innovene S HDPE process for Azerbaijan plant / Ineos licence
Socar Polymer, part of Azerbaijan’s state oil company Socar (Baku; www.socar.az), has licensed the “Innovene S” process owned by Ineos Technologies (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) for use in a 200,000 t/y HDPE plant set to begin commercial production in 2016 at the new Chemical Technology Park at Sumgayit / Azerbaijan – see Plasteurope.com of 09.10.2013.

The company said the plant will produce a wide range of HDPE grades to supply growing demand for high performance products, including commodity grades made from Ziegler and Chrome catalysts and speciality grades such as bimodal PE 100 pipe products. According to earlier reports, the facility was expected to cost around USD 200m.
