Acquisition of bottling and packaging company Berchi
Italian bottling company Sipa (Vittorio Veneto / Italy; www.sipa.it), part of Zoppas Industries (San Vendemiano / Italy; www.zoppas-industries.it), has acquired Berchi (Parma / Italy; www.berchi.com), a manufacturer of complete bottling and packaging lines.
Sipa said the acquisition, completed on 1 September 2008, reinforces its position as a supplier of complete lines, from the manufacturing of PET bottles through to final packaging. The enlarged group is forecasting a turnover of over EUR 300m this year.
