With a workforce of 90 people and annual sales of about USD 30m, Boltaron manufactures components for the aircraft and mass-transit vehicle interior sectors as well as for construction, chemical and semi-conductor applications. The company is to become part of the newly founded Simona America Group, which also oversees the activities of the former Laminations. Headed by Lawrence Schorr, the German company’s North American business posts annual sales of about USD 90m, with a total workforce of more than 250.
Commenting on the purchase, Simona CEO Wolfgang Moyses said, “The three companies within the new Simona America Group command a significant share of their respective target markets. Collectively, we are able to cover the entire market for engineering plastics, from high-volume commodity grades to high-performance products used in areas such as the aerospace industry.”
