SIDEL
New Malaysia site for PET machinery
The Malaysian subsidiary of Sidel (Le Havre / France; www.sidel.com), a leading manufacturer of stretch blow-moulding machines for PET bottles, is building a new production site near Kuala Lumpur, which will roll production of two existing sites into one. The site was established by Sidel, part of the Tetra Laval group for around three years, in 1996. In parallel with the SidelĀ“s French headquarters, machinery for short and medium clock frequencies is assembled here. Up to now, 480 machines have been sold worldwide, Sidel said. Last year, the Malaysian arm took over complete responsibility for the "SBO Compact" line of blow-moulding machines.
