French epoxy resins specialist Sicomin (Chateauneuf les Martigues; www.sicomin.com) has appointed MCtechnics (Visé / Belgium; www.mctechnics.com) as distributor in the Benelux countries. Effective immediately, the Belgian family-owned company will market Sicomin’s custom-made and pre-formulated epoxy systems in the region, with a specific view towards the civil engineering and marine markets.

Founded in 1946, Sicomin first began composites production at group headquarters near Marseilles in 1985. Following an expansion in 2007, the company this year also upgraded its facilities again. Nameplate capacities of the 7,000 m² plant were not available.

The French company’s portfolio comprises high performance composite solutions with a range of core materials, fabric reinforcements, fillers and consumables that are used in a variety of applications, from infusion to RTM, pultrusion, hand lay up and on site prepreg techniques.
