New corporate structure / Mikhail Karisalov to head operational management
Russian petrochemical giant Sibur (Moscow; www.sibur.com) has revamped its corporate structure to separate strategic and operational management and enhance efficiency. Going forward, the chairman of the management board of Sibur Holding will have responsibility for overall management and for overseeing strategic processes. The CEO of the operating company Sibur will be responsible for ongoing development and will also function as chair of the Sibur managing board.
Dmitry Konov will remain chairman of the holding’s board. Mikhail Karisalov, chief operating officer of Sibur since 2016 (see Plasteurope.com of 13.04.2016), will be CEO and chairman of the management board. The Leningrad native is a graduate of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and also of Tyumen State Oil and Gas University. Since 2003, he has held various positions at Sibur, including advisor to president, procurement director, head of Logistics and Capital Construction, along with CEO of SiburTyumenGaz. Karisalov also has served on the managing boards of both Sibur and Sibur Holding.
