SIBUR
Film range extended with introduction of six grades
Six LDPE film grades have been introduced by Russian petrochemicals producer Sibur (Moscow; www.sibur.com). Produced at the company’s Tomsk facility, the grades are designed for manufacture of a wide range of films, for use in general purpose to special and combined multilayer applications such as greenhouse, protective, shrinkable and food packaging.
The materials offer a range of properties, including higher resistance to thermal oxidative ageing, which can be used for manufacture of agricultural greenhouse films or various multilayer applications. Some contain additives to improve slip and prevent blocking of separate layers of film in a roll. Such films are widely used in the manufacture of household bags and other products that require easy separation of film layers, the company said.
