Indian packaging producer Shrinath Rotopack (Hyderabad; www.slplindia.com) continues to expand. As part of its goal to lift sales from the current USD 80m to USD 185m by 2017, the company – part of family-owned holding Shree Group – has just placed a multi-million euro order with Reifenhäuser Blown Film (Worms / Germany; www.reifenhauser-bf.com). The new automated film lines will be installed at Shrinath Rotopack’s recently completed factory in Hyderabad / India next year. In addition to a three-layer line for producing high-quality laminating film, the order also included a seven-layer line for complex barrier films. Both are part of Reifenhäuser’s “Evolution” series.
Family-run Shree Group was founded in 1974 and first entered the flexible packaging industry in 2000. Aside from Shrinath Rotopack, the group also comprises five other units, which operate in the masterbatches and compounds, bags and sacks, stretch film and pharmaceutical markets. Shrinath Rotopack currently has capacity for various types of flexible packaging, including retort pouches, hot fill laminates, lidding films and printed shrink films. The business plans to expand into flexo printing and spout pouches as well as further applications in the future, in an effort to “provide numerous packaging solutions under one roof.”
