Italian packaging producer set for expansion / EUR 77m credit line for constructing three new plants

Italian media are reporting that packaging producer Serioplast (Seriate / Italy; www.serioplast.com), based near Bergamo, has signed a EUR 77m loan agreement for the construction of additional production plants. Specific mention is made of a second facility to be commissioned in the US state of North Carolina, as well as one in Algeria and one in Veneto / Italy. In addition, Centro Plastica, a subsidiary specialising in recycling post-consumer plastics, is to be consolidated.

With 30 production facilities in 14 countries and more than 1,600 employees, the group generated sales of EUR 280m in 2019. Together with mould maker Seriomould, extrusion and blow moulding machine supplier Seriomac and contract filler Well, Serioplast belongs to Old Mill Holding (Urgnano / Italy).
