Schütz (Selters / Germany; www.schuetz.net) has invested in the expansion of its activities at a number of locations. This includes the new production shop that the manufacturer of industrial packaging has constructed at its facility in Kongsvinger / Norway, which was completed at the start of March 2019. In the new building, its Schütz Nordic business unit has set up both its existing and a new three-layer extrusion blow moulding plant for the production of inner containers for intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). Plastic pallet production is also housed in the newly acquired space.
Schütz has additionally boosted its presence in China through the construction of a third facility. The new site in Foshan, Guangdong, in southern China has similarly been equipped with a new three-layer extrusion blow moulding plant, which was inaugurated in March 2019. Plastic drums and IBCs are produced here on an area of 9,500 m² that accommodates both production and offices. Schütz operates other Chinese plants in Shanghai and Tianjin.
Back at the start of 2019, Schütz commissioned a new site in Singapore for the reconditioning of IBCs. Up until then, the branch in Tuas only had a sales office and a distribution centre.
