German industrial packaging manufacturer Schütz (Selters; www.schuetz.net) has officially inaugurated its new plant in southern Poland. The company said it had started production of intermediate bulk containers (IBC) at its 23,000 m² factory site in Zory / Poland as early as December 2016 (see Plasteurope.com of 22.12.2016). IBC reconditioning was installed in May 2017.
The new location will serve as a gateway for markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Shorter delivery routes to customers in the region are intended to enable subsidiary Schütz Polska to provide faster collection and more flexible services.
