New IBC facility in Indonesia / Production to begin in December
German industrial packaging specialist Schütz (Selters; www.schuetz.de) is further expanding its activities in South-east Asia. In Indonesia, where the company has had a subsidiary for sales activities since 2005, it will soon be opening a production facility there as well. Located 50 km east of the country's capital, Jakarta, the new plant is slated to beign production of intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) sometime in December.
The new 7,000 m² space includes 3,500 m² for production and offices shortens the distance to the company's customers in the region and ensure delivery times. Just a few weeks ago, Schütz announced its plans to increase production capacities in nearby Malaysia when it added and commissioned a drum manufacturing unit to its facility outside of Kuala Lumpur.
