Increased safety from IBC cover and larger labels
Larger labels: Increased safety in IBC handling (Photo: Schütz) |
The industrial packaging division of IBC world market leader Schütz (Selters / Germany; www.schuetz.de) recently increased the size of its label plates and created a protective cover for intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) to assist customers’ daily handling of the “Ecobulk” range of IBCs. The new six-space plate is 21% bigger with label space 400mm high and 527mm wide. The plate has a reinforced, raised edge that acts as a spacer, protecting the attached labels.
The new IBC protective cover is fitted easily by one person and transparent windows on a level with the label plates and pallet slits allow access to both lift and fork-lift trucks. Flaps with hook-and-loop fasteners near the filling openings and valves offer speedy access and ease in filling and emptying.
