Jakob A. Mosser, CEO of the Schur Flexibles Group (Baden / Austria; www.schurflexibles.com) since founding it in 2012, is to step down from his office. Last year, he provided support in selling the company to private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg (New York / USA; www.lindsaygoldbergllc.com, see Plasteurope.com from 25.07.2016).
Before Schur Flexibles, Mosser was managing director at Unterland, which was acquired by Mondi (Johannesburg / South Africa; www.mondigroup.com) in 2007 (see Plasteurope.com from 18.07.2007). He has made Schur Flexibles a conglomerate of 12 companies, at 14 locations and with an annual turnover of EUR 350m (see Plasteurope.com from 14.11.2016).
Until a new CEO is appointed, Michael Schernthaner, Christian Kolarik and Bernhard Mumelter will jointly manage the company. In contrast to Mosser’s “buy-and-build” strategy, Schur Flexibles said it now intends to focus more on organic and value-based growth.
