SANDRETTO
Financial protection under Legge Prodi
Sandretto Industrie SpA (Via de Amicis 44, I-10097 Collegno) and its machine tool "sister" company, Componenti Presse, have been admitted to the Italian form of administrative receivership under Legge Prodi, which guarantees Government support for purchases and investment and protects employment. The company had previously confirmed at a Press Conference at Interplas (November 1993) that it was seeking a refinancing arrangement, but was confident then that a solution would be found (see Plasteurope.com No 02).
With the new protection (within which the Italian Treasury has endorsed the present management and structure), the Group confirms that it will continue delivery, quality and after-sales service – but it warns that it will take back machines from customers which have not paid for them...
The current research and development programme will be continued, adds Sandretto, which is plannning to launch its new "Micro" range of injection moulding machines at the Plast '94 exhibition (Milan, 2-6 May 1994). This will be a range of machines in the popular 30-100 t clamp size, offering high performance with proportional adjustment of the hydraulic clamping system. Also to be shown at Plast '94 are a "Mega T" 750 t machine and a fast-cycling Mach 2 (200t) machine, operating as a production cell.
