Swiss DKSH is distributor for high-performance polymers in China, South Korea and Southeast Asia
DKSH (Zurich / Switzerland; www.dksh.com) has been named as a distributor for Sabic’s (Riyadh / Saudi Arabia; www.sabic.com) speciality engineering thermoplastics in China, South Korea and Southeast Asia. The portfolio includes “Noryl” polyphenylene ether-based (PPE) materials, “Ultem” polyetherimide (PEI) materials, “LNP” compounds and all its polycarbonate-based copolymers.

Sabic said the partnership will help grow its specialities business in key markets such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. In 2018, the company announced capacity expansions for PEI and PPE – see Plasteurope.com of 13.02.2018.

DKSH claims to hold a leading position for the distribution of speciality chemicals and polymers in Asia. Its services includes sourcing, marketing and sales, distribution and logistics. In 2018, the Swiss group generated net sales of around CHF 11.3 bn (EUR 10.5 bn), with its Performance Materials unit recording net sales of CHF 960.4m.
