Yousef al-Benyan to serve as interim CEO / Mohamed al-Mady receives new post by royal decree

Following a royal decree by new Saudi king Salman, Sabic (Riyadh / Saudi Arabia; www.sabic.com) CEO Mohamed al-Mady has been appointed president of the kingdom’s military industries corporation, Reuters reports. His post at the petrochemicals producer will be filled by Yousef al-Benyan, who most recently served as executive vice president of corporate finance. The news agency said Benyan’s appointment was approved by the company’s board of directors, adding that he would serve on an acting basis.
Mady served as Sabic CEO for 17 years. He first joined the company, in which he also held the position of vice chairman, in 1976.
