Strike in Geleen comes to an end / Production returns to normal
Parent company Sabic (Riyadh / Saudi Arabia; www.sabic.com) has announced that the strike launched by employees at subsidiary Sabic Europe (Sittard / The Netherlands) on 31 January 2013 at the company's site in Geleen / The Netherlands (see Plasteurope.com of 01.02.2013) has come to an end. Following a decision by the unions, the workers resumed their activities on 5 February, the ad-hoc announcement states, adding that production had returned to normal. The limitations caused by the strike were reportedly minor, with most customers supplied from existing inventories.
