Environmentally-friendly solutions using HDPE
The “Vestolen A rely” family of bimodal HDPE materials for pressure pipe applications has been introduced by Sabic (Riyadh / Saudi Arabia; www.sabic.com). The company says the materials are tough, sustainable and cost-effective and offer converters energy savings, enabling environmentally responsible pipe installation.
The company has also launched its “strain hardening” method for evaluating the slow crack growth resistance behaviour of HDPE. The system is claimed to be fast, cost-efficient and accurate and avoids the use of detergents that can pose an environmental hazard.
