RÖHRIG HTP
Acquisition of mould-builders in Austria
Röhrig High Tech Plastics AG (HTP, A-7201 Neudörfl; www.htp.at), a company listed in the German SMAX, is acquiring a majority holding in AT&S Formenbau AG (A-8753 Fohnsdorf / Steiermark) with immediate effect. As Röhrig announced, the acquisition covers up to 100% of the outstanding company shares. AT&S Formenbau AG was founded in 1977 and is specialised in the development, design, production and testing of highly complex moulds for use in plastics injection moulding and the die casting of light metals for its international customer base. According to HTP, the company, with its 181 employees, will be recording sales of some EUR 17.5m over the 2001/2002 business year.

The acquisition is designed to eliminate the current bottle-neck in mould building and to further expand this segment. Investment of EUR 7m is earmarked for expansion at the Fohnsdorf site over the current business year. Following the acquisition of AT&S Formenbau AG, the HTP group will have pro forma sales of EUR 68m. See also Plasteurope.com 08, 2001.
