German plastics supplier Röhm (Darmstadt; www.roehm.com) has announced an end of production of PMMA multi-wall and corrugated sheets at its local plant in Bad König, saying it will relocate operations from its unit Mönch-Kunststofftechnik (www.moench-kunststofftechnik.com) to German sites in Weiterstadt and Wörth am Main. Röhm said the plans to move were due to declining sales of the products and the resulting excess capacity.

All 25 Mönch-Kunststofftechnik employees are to be offered jobs in Weiterstadt or Wörth, with the Bad König plant closure set for 1 April 2024. The facility has been part of Röhm’s acrylic products division since 2004. Highlux brand multi-wall and corrugated panels made there are primarily used for roofing. 

Röhm employs 3,500 at 13 production sites worldwide.
