IMCD appointed as European distributor of “Cyrolite” for medical devices

German MMA/PMMA producer Röhm (Darmstadt; www.roehm.com) has appointed IMCD (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.imcdgroup.com) to market and distribute its entire portfolio of PMMA-based “Cyrolite” copolymers and “Cyrolite” MD products for the medical device and diagnostics markets in Europe, excluding Switzerland and Liechtenstein. “The ‘Cyrolite’ products are an excellent fit with our current product portfolio which is offered across Europe. We look forward to promoting these speciality materials to our extensive medical and diagnostic customer base as well as providing a comprehensive service to existing ‘Cyrolite’ customers,” said Siobhan Bastiansen, market manager medical at IMCD Advanced Materials.
“Cyrolite” products are transparent, impact-modified thermoplastic moulding compounds that are specially developed for medical technology. Main applications include infusion and catheter accessories, blood/plasma separators, chest drainage, filters and diagnostics cassettes.
