Röchling’s (Mannheim / Germany; www.roechling.com) executive board once again has an empty seat not long after Evelyn Thome joined as CFO – Erwin Doll, vice chairman of the executive board and responsible for the Automotive division, is leaving the company with immediate effect. Röchling cited “strategic differences regarding the future direction of the division.” CEO Hanns-Peter Knaebel will temporarily manage the automotive segment until a replacement can be found.

Doll started working for the group in 2006 as executive vice president of sales and R&D at Röchling Automotive, later also for Asia. He became the spokesperson of the CEO in 2011 and joined the group’s executive board in 2016, at which point he also took on responsibility for the group’s Automotive division.

The segment recently sold its facility for the production of interior linings in Wolfsburg / Germany to competitor Kasai Kogyo (Samukawa / Japan; www.kasai.co.jp) – see Plasteurope.com of 14.05.2019. The executive board said that, as Röchling Automotive's focus has shifted in recent years, interior linings no longer fit its portfolio.
