Recycled compounds available in speciality grades
Speciality compounder RTP (Winona, Minnesota / USA; www.rtpcompany.com) has introduced a range of compounds using post-consumer content (PCC) resins reclaimed from solid waste streams in recycling programs. The company says the content of reclaimed material in the compounds can range from 1% to 100% depending on the requirements of individual applications. The PCC compounds can provide colour, conductive, flame-retardant, structural, or wear-resistant properties and are available globally as PA, PC and PET resins, as well as alloys based on the reclaimed feedstocks, RTP said.
The materials can be used in a wide range of applications for consumer goods, building materials, automotive components, and electronics devices. RTP’s PCC compounds are complemented by bioplastics and halogen-free products developed for ecologically-friendly applications.
